![]() I use MySQL 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1 server on Ubuntu Linux. How (the hell) can I make it work? I am trying to search for any solution for many hours, nothing helps. ![]() ![]() String url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/epftest?characterEncoding=UTF-8" Įxception in thread "main" : Incorrect string value: '\xC5\xBB\xC3\xB3\xC5\x82.' for column 'dfield' at row 1Īt .createSQLException(SQLError.java:946)Īt .checkErrorPacket(MysqlIO.java:2985)Īt .sendCommand(MysqlIO.java:1631)Īt .sqlQueryDirect(MysqlIO.java:1723)Īt .execSQL(Connection.java:3283)Īt .executeInternal(PreparedStatement.java:1332)Īt .execute(PreparedStatement.java:882) So I try to use just plain UTF-8 hoping MySQL supports it: The second issue here is that I suppose I would not get Polish sort order with this. But it is the mode in which MySQL converts text to Latin1 and I have strange chars in DB. I write Polish text into DB and get it back. ResultSet rs=stmt.executeQuery("select * from test") PreparedStatement updatestmt=con.prepareStatement("insert into " tname " values (?)") Stmt.executeUpdate("delete from " tname) String url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/epftest?useOldUTF8Behavior=true
